Where Can I Serve?

Ministry Opportunities

Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations.  We believe our mission to the world begins in our own community and spreads overseas to every nation.  Mineral Heights members are involved in a variety of ministry opportunities from things as simple as cleaning the church or maintaining the grounds to Thursday night visitation.

Missions Outreach

Mineral Heights is thrilled to be part of Faith Promise Missions, sharing the Gospel of Jesus around the world.  We are active in training and sending out missionaries from our church, as well as, supporting about 30 missionaries world wide.  At times, a volunteer mission team from our church travels to one of our missionaries to assist them in practical projects and evangelistic outreach.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they minister in a foreign country or minister in our own community.

We strive for God-honoring music.  Many church members get involved in our music ministry.  Some play instruments while some are vocalists.  Others are involved in the choir.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Mineral Heights Baptist Church using their talents and gifts to glorify God and bless the services.

The nursery team at Mineral Heights Baptist Church is a crucial part of our services.  They care for infants and toddlers in a clean, safe environment and ensure the children in attendance are shown God’s love so their parents can enjoy the services.  Nursery workers must pass a background check.

Media & Technology

In an age of advancing technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools for God’s purposes.  Sunday sermons are recorded and uploaded to our website in video and audio formats.  People are needed to man the camera, sound system, and video projector for services.  We also maintain a Facebook page for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated.  Prayer moves the hand of God. Mineral Heights Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty.  Before the Bible study each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and bringing our petitions to the Lord from our weekly prayer list.  Every one in the church can and should be involved in praying for the ministry of the church, its pastor, and the needs of others.

Children’s Ministries

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Mineral Heights has a KidsKonnect class at 9:30 am on Sundays and a children’s church service in conjunction with the main 10:30 am service.  These special times give kids opportunities for interaction and learning in a context and manner suited to their age and learning styles.  Our friendly children’s ministry volunteers must pass a background check to invest God’s truths into the lives of our children.

On Thursday nights and some Saturdays, we go out into our community to invite people to church and to tell them of a God who loves them and can save them.  The Great Commission gives us the command to go, so go we must.  Those less experienced are partnered with those with more experience.  We also are sure to visit our shut-ins who can no longer attend services.

Buildings and Properties

The church buildings need to be cleaned and maintained.  Improvements also need to be made to be good stewards of what God has given to us.  The grass needs to be mowed, and trees need to be trimmed.  It is a blessing when God’s people get involved in maintaining and beautifying His church!
